This is an excellent class for anyone that works in the drug detection industry. This class has been designed to provide participants with not only the latest street drug trends, but also to provide students with hands-on experiences with the goal of creating expertise that will assist the participant in developing your skills in becoming an expert in drug use. Participants will utilize needles, learn how to make and use a base cocaine pipe, cut, weigh, package and simulate the administration of drugs and more. The instructors will also walk the students through the development of a possession for sales case based on quantity alone as well as other corroborating factors; again with the goal of preparing the student to testify as an expert in court as to possession for sales.

- Different types of controlled substances
- Types of paraphernalia used by controlled substance abusers
- How different controlled substances are weighed and packaged for sale
- Current drug trends and prices
Devin served as a police officer in the Los Angeles, California area from 1982 until he retired in December of 2014 as a lieutenant. During his career he worked a variety of assignments; specializing in patrol, field training and narcotics. Devin has ten years of experience working as a detective, detective sergeant and division commander in the Vice & Narcotics Division and he spent over 18 years working patrol as an officer, field training officer, sergeant and area commander. Devin has been recognized as an expert in both state and federal courts in a number of areas related to drug influence and drug distribution.
Since 1991 Devin has been developing and teaching a variety of narcotic related topics; topics covering all things drug related from influence to cartel operations and everything inbetween. Devin has trained and consulted extensively throughout the United States on various narcotics related topics for Local, State and Federal Law Enforcement Agencies. Additionally he has taught law enforcement in a number of other countries including Mexico and Colombia. Devin is a regular instructor for the California Narcotic Officers Association. In 2005 Devin was awarded the Narcotics’ Officer of the Year for both Los Angeles County and for the State of California.
